FLOWERS USING PENCIL SHAVINGS




A Simple art from waste for kids.

MATERIALS REQUIRED :

Thick A4 Sheet paper or any chart papaer.
Colour papers from magazines.
Glue
Pencil shavings

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :

1) Sketch a bouquet.
2) For stems and leaves , cut green colour papers from waste magazines and glue it to them.
3) For flowers , make pencil shavings and glue it to the shape of flowers.
4) Then decorate these flowers with colour pens.

We can either frame it with some stampings or make cute greeting cards .

PAPER CLOCK





MATERIALS REQUIRED:

Empty gift boxes or Sweet boxes - 1
A4 size paper - 1
Nice cute pictures
Plain plastic covers or OHP Sheet - 1

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :

Stuff the bottom part of gift boxes with waste papers. Draw model of a clock in A4 paper and stick pictures.Glue it to box and cover it with plastic cover.

We can use this to teach kids how to read time.Sending this to Kids Friendly Crafts Event .

TOP 10 TEMPLES IN THE WORLD .

I received these photos through a forwarded message from my friend Bhuvana . I loved these pictures and information . Here comes them for you to admire.

1) Tiger's Nest Monastery , perched precariously on the edge of a 3000 feet - high cliff in Paro Valley is one of the holiest places in Bhutan


2 ) Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Mai , Thailand is unlike any Buddist Temples in the world .


3) Prambanan is the Hindu temple in Central Java , Indonesia . The Temple was built in 850 CE , and it is composed 0f 8 main shrines and 250 surrounding ones .



4) No one knows exactly when the Shwedagon Paya or Pagoda in Myanmar was built - legend it has that it is 2500 years old though archaeologists estimate that it was built between 6 th and 10 th century .


5) Temple of Heaven is a taoist temple in Beijing , the capital of China. the temple was constructed in 14 th century by the Emperor Yongle of Ming Dynasty .


6) Chion-in Temple was built in 1234 CE in honor of the founder of Jodo (Pure land ) Buddism,a priest named Honen , who fasted to death in the very spot .


7) In the 19 century , Dutch occupiers of Indonesia found a massive ancient ruin deep in the jungles of Java . What they found is the complex of Borobundur , a gigantic structure built with nearly 2 million cubic feet of stones . The temple has nearly 2700 relief panels and 504 Budda Statues .


8) The Harmandir Sahib (meaning the abode of god)----Golden Temple in Punjab,India . It is the most sacred of Sikhism.


9) The Temple of Srirangam ....Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple , Trichy . It is the largest functioning Hindu temple in the world .


10 ) Last but definetly not least is the largest temple in history and the inspiration to countless novels and action movies of hollywood -- Ankor Wat . It is the largest of all the temple but currently non-functioning as a temple .

FAIRY SET

This fairy set was presented to my daughter by her dearmost Madan mama and Priya athai . This set was provided with glues , colour stones , roses ,wings , crown and wand .

All you have to do is to design ur wings and wands with glitters and stones . She was wearing this on christmas . She was very happy to her wings,wand and crown . To wrap the wand , i used coloured decoration cello tape .

Your kids will definetly enjoy them . This is my first entry for Kids Friendly Crafts Event .

KIDS FRIENDLY CRAFTS EVENT - 2009 AND CHRISTMAS DECORATION IN MY HOME FOR MY DAUGHTER.



Hai friends ,

I am happy to start this event on New Year . Crafts is my passion . Engaging kids during vacation in home will be definetly a challenging task . Usually , I engage my 2 yr daughter by drawing her apple , fish , flower etc in notebooks . She really enjoys it . Now a days , she herself brings crayons and ask me to draw or bring papers to make ships or boat . My apartment kids also enjoy drawing or doing crafts . Everyday , they used to visit my home and call me aunty do this or that................i am feeling happy when they approach me.........i love their interests........

I feel this is one of the best way to develop their creativity . This made me to start this event...............hope you will definetly enjoy participating in this event .
